Today we bring our final reveal of the month of June to the pulling fans and followers of Miles Beyond 300. For today’s reveal we head to Ohio where we will find the Taylor Family. Taylor Family Motorsports got their start in 1979 with Danny Taylor behind the wheel of a 4×4 pulling truck called Blue Knight. Thirty-Five years and 3 generations later things have changed but still a passion for pulling is there. Danny drove his 4×4 Truck till 1986 when it was sold and he got away from pulling other than filling in driving his dads TWD pulling truck that was built in 1983 as the Two Wheel Drive class got started.

Danny filed in driving when needed off and on till around 2001 when his son Chad took over driving responsibilities. After 13 years of being around the sport very little, Danny came back to helping work on Chad’s Blue Knight in 2013 and the excitement being around the sport has brought him back with his own ride for the 2015 season.

The truck is a 1957 Chevy Sudan Delivery that Danny calls, Knight Delivery. They body was picked up from the Pioneer Motorsports Team as they campaigned it for a few years. Tracing the history of the body, it was originally on a drag car in years past as well. The vinyl graphics and wrap were done by Nick at Motor City Wraps, and it features some of the old characteristics of paint jobs from Danny’s 4×4 trucks in the early 80’s.

The Taylors picked up the frame this winter to start modifications. The chassis is an older Banter Chassis that with some adjustments and drive train changes will carry a new Ken Veney Hemi for this upcoming season. The Taylor’s turned to Ken Veney last season for an upgrade in the engine department for the Blue Knight truck and are following in the same direction with Knight Delivery.

They Taylor’s plans involve competing on the OSTPA circuit this summer and some select Pro Pulling League events and NTPA Region 2 events. They hope the 2 truck team aspect will help with sharing data. The truck will be making its first pass down the track Saturday Night at the OSTPA Joshua Keith Memorial Pull in Bellefontaine, Ohio

You can follow them on Facebook: Taylor Family Motorsports or their website www.taylorfamilymotorsports.com

Thanks to Chad Taylor for the write up on the teams history and to the Taylor team for allowing Miles Beyond 300 to reveal the new truck!
